Passing of time

November 5, 2012 in Beth, Horses, Shaman by Beth

Time passes by so quickly, sometimes we forget that its passed at all.  Its been months since my last post and so much has happened but most of it is forgotten now because I didn’t take the time to record it.

The past few thanksgivings we (family members) have gone out to the horses in the morning and have gone riding. I remember last year that even Danny and Larry came out and rode. Larry got on Sunny and cantered her around.  Eliza got on ET for the first time (and last I believe) Danny also got on I believe.  All in all I think it was a good time.  As I thought of this early last week I set the goal to work Shaman each day until Thanksgiving so come that day I can get on him without working him first.  So far I have achieved that goal I even got on him last week with out working him first which was the first time doing that! I can’t wait until Thanksgiving so that hopefully family members will come out again (including Alex’s family) and we will be able to have fun together at the horses. (Maybe I’ll even let someone else ride Shaman on thanksgiving)

Someday last week I found this website that would make jewelry out of horse hair, which reminded me of how I have yet to do anything with Fame’s tail.  So I decided I would make my own jewelry out of it so Saturday I got some hardware to make it,  and yesterday I did. I made a bracelet for myself and a tassel for my mom. I’m happy with the results and glad I can have something to keep with me of his.

Lately I’ve been trying a lot of new recopies.  Mels Kitchen Cafe is my favorite! I seriously have made quite a few of her recipes and have only had one or two that I didn’t like and that was because I didn’t like them not because they where bad. Anyways here are some of the ones I’ve tried recently

Spaghetti Pie

Firecracker Chicken

Rosemary Chicken

Asian Lettuce Wraps

  Tuscan Garlic Chicken

Gocamole Salad

Chimichangas

  Sesame Noodles

Chipotle Chicken Tacos

And a couple that I didn’t get from mels

Ragin’ Cajun Pasta

 Kickin’ Chicken Stir Fry

That is more or less what has been going on since my last post hopefully I’ll update more in the future :)
